Tim was an Elder from the Pueblo de San Ildefonso and cultural preservation specialist with the Department of Cultural and Environmental Preservations (DECP) for the Pueblo de San Ildefonso. His contributions went far beyond normal CRM activities. Tim was a fountain of information and quite supportive of the field. He was tireless in his desire to pass on traditional knowledge and cultural traditions to the youth of San Ildefonso, teaching among other things Tewa language and traditional farming, and enlisting the aid of the archaeological community to help support him in these endeavors. Tim, as a farm mentor and Tewa instructor ran the San Ildefonso Pueblo’s farm program, employing youth and young adults in the summer. His drive and enthusiasm were infectious. Among his many gifts was his unrivaled generosity of spirit and soul. He was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people around. For Mike Bremer, he provided a lot of encouragement and advice Mike in his role as THPO for San Ildefonso. He is most deserving of posthumous honors by the SAA and NMAC.

Thanks to W. Bruce Masse and Mike Bremer
